This is what you will do as a Engineer HVAC:
As an HVAC Engineer, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design and coordination of HVAC systems in commercial, healthcare, office, and light industrial facilities. You’ll take the lead in developing efficient and reliable solutions, from basic concepts to detailed designs using modern software and working closely with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
Your daily tasks as Engineer HVAC consists of:
- Designing and engineering HVAC systems based on client requirements and applicable standards
- Performing calculations and selecting appropriate components and materials
- Reviewing and improving technical drawings and providing input where necessary
- Collaborating with project managers, planners, and on-site teams to ensure high-quality execution
- Participating in project meetings and coordinating with architects and other engineering disciplines
- Advising clients and contributing to decision-making during all project phases
- Working with advanced tools including BIM, CAD software, and 3D modeling systems
- Visiting job sites when needed to monitor progress and resolve technical issues
- A bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a similar discipline
- Experience as an HVAC Engineer or similar role in the building or industrial sector
- Familiarity with HVAC-specific standards (e.g. ISO, NEN) and common design tools (e.g. AutoCAD, VABI, Revit)
- Good material and installation knowledge
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Accuracy, planning skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
- A valid driver's license is a plus
