What you will do:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for the engineering of various building-related electrical installations. You work on a wide range of multidisciplinary projects in both the utility and light industry sectors, ensuring that technical challenges are addressed in a structured and effective manner.
In addition, you manage a team whose size and composition may vary depending on the complexity and scale of the project.
Your work environment
You’ll be working within an ambitious and collaborative engineering team based in the southern region of the Netherlands. The team consists of around 120 colleagues spread across several offices. The workplace has an open, social, and informal atmosphere where collaboration is key. There is a strong sense of community and customer focus.
You will contribute to challenging, multidisciplinary projects that allow you to apply and expand your technical expertise. Your work will be varied, you will have a high level of autonomy, and your input will be truly valued.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Engineering complete lighting, power, and low-current installations. You provide conceptual designs, final designs, and implementation packages that are ready for execution.
- Translating the wishes of the (internal) customer into concrete designs. You develop a basic design and ensure that your team handles the detailed elaboration properly. You take into account customer requirements, quality standards, relevant laws and regulations, and have a keen eye for costs, sustainability, feasibility, and ease of maintenance.
- Managing a design team consisting of engineers and BIM modellers in an effective and efficient manner. You take into account developments within the field as well as the growth and learning needs of your team.
- Ensuring proper administration of projects, budget monitoring, and drawing up reports. You identify any deviations from the planning and take corrective measures when necessary.
- Maintaining contacts with clients, suppliers, consultancy and engineering firms, and other stakeholders involved in the execution of projects.

- A higher professional education (HBO) level in electrical engineering
- Around 5 years of relevant work experience and knowledge of commonly used electrical systems in the utility sector
- Leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a design team
- Pre: a good command of the Dutch language
